- Shaft or sleeve diameter
- Single, double or cartridge arrangement where known
Operating conditions
- Process fluid and concentration
- Operating and maximum temperature
- Suction/discharge or seal-chamber pressure
- Rotational speed
- Any solids, abrasives or crystallisation risk
Materials matter
Face combinations, elastomers and metal parts must be compatible with the service. Examples include carbon, silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, NBR, EPDM and FKM—but the correct choice depends on the application.
Safety note: Do not select a mechanical seal solely from a photograph for critical service. Confirm the equipment and operating specification with the responsible engineer or manufacturer.

Send the old seal from several angles, all markings, the pump nameplate, shaft/sleeve area and dimensions where safely measurable.
